"In the opening sequence to The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Mary's in a supermarket, hurrying through the aisles. She pauses at the meatcase, picks up a steak and checks the price. Then she rolls her eyes, shrugs, and tosses it in the cart.
That's kind of how I felt. Sure, I would have liked for things to have been different. But, roll of the eyes, what can you do? Shrug.
I threw the meat in my cart. And moved on."

Things aren't always how you plan them. In fact, they're never how you plan them. In living with this it's best to roll with the punches and enjoy the ride. Here are my sentiments and my chronicles to put into writing my small journeys and "adventures."

"...In order to be a lover to a woman in this society you have to act like a powerful little boy. Fuck honesty. Fuck chivalry. You have to pretend you can’t perceive these concepts without the power of her love. You have to be exciting and mysterious and a total fucking asshole. Except for Ivy. I can bring her a drink of water without any fear of her losing interest in me. I have no fear of becoming boring… of becoming out-dated… of being scrapped for an upgrade.
So I bring her a glass of water and her body jerks while she’s drinking it. The little pixie with her porcelain skin and crimson hair and sky blue eyes, she looks at me with joy in her eyes. She’s crying from laughter and her body spontaneously jerks. The sunrise turns to dawn and the blues and oranges give way to yellows and whites. All the pain of the last year doesn’t escape, but at this moment it feels tolerable. It feels good to be here, right here, right now.
And I know this perfect moment is only a moment, and the world is going to be hell again very soon, so I drink the moment.
I savor the flavor before it fades."
